from Club's Forum Post at: May 01, 2007 10:54 am Moin and Hi to all Volvo (Executive) maniacs!!! Now after 2 month I have time to show you some pictures of my S90 Executive Royal III. My best friend showed me in the last week of February 2007 a well known video at "YouTube" about the S90 Executive Royal - it was the official advertising video from Volvo. We already knew that car from the 960 and S90 Series brochures from 1996 and 1997 - a few years ago we bought near by all Volvo brochures at ebay. Rolling Eyes After the 3rd beer I thought "Man, that car is a must!" In the next second my friend said, yepp, this kind of car we still miss in our garage - let's buy it. The next 3 days I tried to get all information I could about that specific car. A nice website about the S90 Executive Royal Hermes you can find in Japan. There are also some pages from the brochure and some nice pictures from the car. The languange was a bit different but what should I do... Laughing At all Volvo international pages: no information - only one comment that they build these kind of cars. Nothing really helpfull. On night I found a link at Google on the result page 12 or 13 - I never look more than 2 or 3 pages at Google results cause there is more waste than information. So there was my car on a website from Netherland and there was no direkt link from the homepage - only with the right link to that car via Google. I asked the previous owner via email immediately and hoped that the S90 was sold. I wanted that car but someone inside me looked at it more critically. The answer was: Yes! Damn!... Ok, I tried to negotiate a bit but no chance. That previous owner knew the very rare status. After one week of sending pictures and email, having a lot of phonecalls it was sure that this car was an original III from Volvo Schweden! A few days later I drove with my friend to Gothenborg to meet the previous owner and we stayed over 7 hours including lunch, dinner, Whisky and testdrive. At the end I bought the car and we went back to Germany next day. Before the meeting we tried to go shopping at Volvo City and at Volvo Parts Shop on the opposite - both shops were closed. Only the volvo Museum was open and we bought like crazy... The S90 is from June 1997 and a milage of 162,000 km. First owner was for 3 years an embassy after that for some years used for a VIP-Shuttle company. The last 3 years the company owner had it in his private stock. The S90 was/is in very good condition and is great! The datas from that car you guys know I think and now I will show you some pictures.
